Today is Boobquake day!

An Iranian cleric are claiming that the reason for a recent string of natural disasters in Haiti, Chile and Mexico/Southern California is the cause of another natural phenomenon.. women’s cleavage.

“Many women who do not dress modestly … lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes,” said Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi earlier this month.

Instead of just ignoring this ridiculous statement, university student Jennifer McCreight set up a group on Facebook to create “Boobquake,” a worldwide event taking place today that encourages women to wear low-cut tops and push-up bras to try and create an earthquake.

“With the power of our scandalous bodies combined, we should surely produce an earthquake,” she wrote on her blog. “If not, I’m sure Mr. Sedighi can come up with a rational explanation for why the ground didn’t rumble.”

The group have over 100,000 members so far, so if you see an unusual amount of cleavage today.. you know why!
