Extreme Financial Domination: What’s the Appeal?
To say that some fetishes are stranger than others would be something of an understatement. The following examples barely scratch the surface of what some people are into, but nonetheless illustrate just how different kinks can be from one person to the next:
• Agalmatophilia – Arousal to statues
• Chasmophilia – Arousal to caverns, crevices, and valleys
• Climacophilia – Arousal to falling downstairs
• Formicophilia – Arousal to insects
• Nasolingus – Arousal to sucking on a person’s nose
• Nebulophilia – Arousal to fog
• Necrophilia – Arousal to corpses
• Psychrophilia – Arousal to being cold and watching others who are cold
• Pteronphilia – Arousal to being tickled by feathers
• Stygiophilia – Arousal to the thought of hellfire and damnation
But what’s interesting about the whole domination fetish is the way in which it is deeply rooted in an aspect of human psychology that affects a vast proportion of the population.
Each of the fetishes outlined above is relatively rare – attraction to people who are assertive, powerful, commanding and have a ‘take-charge’ attitude is anything but. The more liberal attitudes become regarding sexual preferences, the clearer it’s becoming that many (if not most) people enjoy being dominated from time to time.
Where Does the Appeal in Domination Lie?
Evolution psychologists have attempted to pinpoint the root cause of our desire to be dominated for generations. They’ve made apparent connections between our genetics and our likelihood of seeking dominant or submissive relationships, but the whole thing isn’t quite as simple as this.
Instead, there’s apparently a close correlation between our own individual personality traits and how likely we are to enjoy submissive or dominant relationships.
For example, if you are the kind of person who likes taking risks, enjoys adventurous experiences and has a passion for seeking out the unknown, you’re inherently more likely to seek dominant partners and more intensive sexual experiences.
At the opposite end of the scale, those who enjoy quieter lives and prefer to keep things as calm and predictable as possible are far less likely to expose themselves to domination.
And as there are thousands of contributory factors that affect personality development – genetic and environmental alike – no two adults end up with exactly the same sexual preferences or preferred fetishes.
What is Extreme Financial Domination?
Extreme financial domination – the specialist area of the legendary IshtarXXX – is one of the newest additions to the contemporary fetish landscape. Something that was completely unheard of some time ago, extreme financial domination is a form of domination that typically excludes any physical contact between the dominant and the submissive whatsoever.
Instead, it is a game wherein the dominant takes partial or complete control of the submissive’s finances – effectively leaving them completely at their mercy. The relationship begins with requests and demands for small amounts of money, which may be (and often are) gradually increased over time.
Those who are skilled in the art of financial domination are able to provide their clients or ‘cash pigs’ with a uniquely exciting and exhilarating experience, without ever actually meeting them in person. For those who get a kick out of financial domination, there’s something primally satisfying about the complete lack of control and even the fear that accompanies relinquishing control to someone else.
In some instances, the threat of the relationship being publicized by the dominant (unless appropriate payments are made) is where the thrill lies. In others, the submissive gets a kick out of funding the lifestyle of the dominant, making payments in exchange for personal messages, seductive images and so on.
A Different Kind of Domination
Understandably, it can be almost impossible to explain the appeal of financial domination to those who do not get it. But when it comes to the psychology of the whole thing, it’s actually no different than any other form of domination.
It’s just that the physical contact is excluded, which isn’t particularly unusual these days with the long list of ‘services’ being offered by dominants online.
If the enjoyment of domination for the vast majority of submissive is primarily psychological, it’s the loss of control and effectively being told what to do by somebody else that make the experience exciting. Particularly when there are potential consequences to face in the event of disobedience, which is often how things work with extreme financial domination.
Of course, nobody gets into this kind of thing with the intention of falling into debt, or ending up bankrupt. Nevertheless, putting so much on the line and knowing the ultimate outcome is almost entirely out of your control can be just about as exciting, exhilarating and intoxicating as it gets for those with more adventurous personalities.

Did you know that even medical doctors like to label things? Not just the drugs they give you, but the diseases that necessitate those drugs too. They say it easier to treat sick people that way. Makes sense really. I mean, if someone is sick don’t you have to first know what the sickness is?
For example, if someone is prone to unprovoked angry or violent outbursts it may be a symptom of one of a variety different issues: depression, substance abuse, anxiety, intermittent explosive disorder (conveniently abbreviated to ‘IED’), bipolarism, etc.
Those labels don’t exist to hand-wave away the problem: they’re the first step in treating it.
